Panoramic Radiography

We plan to have a Sirona brand panoramic x-ray unit by next year for routine diagnostic imaging. It is recommended each patient have one panoramic x-ray taken every five years, usually covered by insurance. These are becoming essential for early cancer screening and other issues that may not be evident on localized x-rays. The image includes teeth, jaw, sinuses and other cranial structures , which allows for more comprehensive dental care. This will be used especially for 3rd molar ("wisdom teeth") evaluation.
